My question is this: getting extremely limited understanding on these sort of factors, the 1 factor that simply stands out to me is that these are in English – a relatively new language… logically, these words cannot be ‘power words’ of an ancient force, can they? An individual put these together sometime inside the past millennium, most most likely. Any alleged power gained in chanting these words ought to come from the emotion, rather than the words as they are. Am I mistaken?
@maiingan…: I by no means said it was in that person’s answer, did I? I thought it was obvious. I would presume that if such spells exist, they would be linked to a thing that has existed at least considering that the dawn of our species, or existence itself. Would that not be ancient? You and I probably have diverse definitions of the words, though.

Power comes from crafting the spell, so ideally it ought to be designed by the caster for the occasion. Words are props that focus intent, absolutely nothing far more.
