Question by Kiki: Can you practice wiccan spells without being a Wiccan?
Alright I really have a couple of concerns
1. Can you practice Wiccan spells with out converting? I ask this because my parents wouldn’t like it if I was 1 and I would nevertheless like to do peace spells and happiness spells.
2. What books are excellent one’s about wicca and spells? (generally known please?)
3. What is a excellent happiness spell?
four. If I DID want to convert, how would I do it?

1. Witchcraft is a series of practices which are not tied to any certain religion. Witchcraft is practiced by men and women on fairly significantly all faiths. Not all Wiccans are witches, and undoubtedly not all witches are Wiccans. So…in short, yes. However, the discipline and concentrate necessary to cast an powerful spell are earned more than time and a wonderful deal of study. It’s not basically a recipe, right after all.
two. The best book on Wicca is possibly Scott Cunningham’s “Wicca: a Guide for the Solitary Practitioner.” Also, Raymond Buckland’s “Big Blue Book of Witchcraft.” I don’t like how rigid and doctrinaire Buckland is, but he is informative, at least. Cunningham is better.
3. The finest happiness spells are those cast upon one’s self, to boost confidencee, creativity, contentment, courage, and tranquility.
4. Usually, I would suggest studying broadly and at some depth, and to keep it up for a year and a day. Spellcraft is a difficult-earned ability. And, the discipline, ethics, expertise and faith acquired in genuine study are critical.

1.) Wiccan spells are a form of witchcraft. One need not be Wicca, pagan, or any other religion to practice witchcraft. Secondly, why does it matter what your parents think about your religion… religion is a private matter, it’s your beliefs and no one can force you to believe anything. If you live with your parents, however, you should follow their house rules.
2.) Scot Cunninghams “Earth Power” and “Earth, Air, Fire and Water” are both good books about witchcraft from a Wiccan perspective.
3.) Smile. Smile as much a possible.
4.) You would either find a coven that can teach you and initiate you or you would read a lot of books and then figure out how to be a Wiccan without formal initiation (I can’t tell you this because I do not know.)

seems like everyone else has answered the first three questions, but for the last one, there really is no initiation or anything to be Wiccan, there may be to join a group or a coven, but thats about it. Really, to convert, all you need to do is study for a while and make sure it’s right for you, if it is, then you will gradually grow closer and closer to your Goddess, your God and your earth. one day it will hit you in the face, and it will make sense and all come together for you either way. There will either be no denying that it is right for you, and you do believe this way, or it will come to you that this doesn’t add up, make sense or doesn’t sit right with you. all you can do is research and talk to other wiccans. If you desire to find a teacher, or a coven that could help you get a better insight. many of them hold open circles and are generally willing to share with those who are interested. start with the basics. start with researching Paganism. Read “the idiots guide to paganism” it’s a really good overview of paganism and alot of the sub religions that stem from it ( Wicca, shamanism, druidism ect) if you are interested move on to “Wicca, guide for the solitary practitioner” which someone else mentioned earlier. try looking into some starhawk(author) too.
EDIT-@Passionate surrender- your an idiot.
